Has Interpol become the long arm of oppressive regimes?
The Guardian

An illustration for the Rights & Freedom team at the Guardian.
The article was investigating whether Interpol has become the long arm of oppressive regimes? The piece ran alongside an interview with the outgoing head of Interpol, and due to the sensitive nature of the topic, was very hard to photograph.
We wanted something that showcased the way regimes around the world could use the Interpol redlist to extradite and suppress opposition to themselves.
The colour palette was kept dark and soft so that the image of the man being dragged from the list would stand out in both large images and the smaller social images used to promote the piece.
